The problem

Living together gets messy fast

Venmo screenshotsGroup chat scrollSticky notesShared spreadsheet"Did you pay the internet?"

Seda replaces all of that with one shared place everyone in your home can see. No one has to be the nag, and no one has to keep the receipts in their head.

What it does

Everything a household runs on

Getting started

Up and running in about five minutes

  1. Make a household

One person creates it and adds a name.

  2. Invite your roommates

Everyone gets a code and signs up for themselves.

  3. Add your first bill or chore

Seda handles the math and the reminders from there.

Why Seda

Less awkward, more fair

One source of truth

Everyone sees the same numbers and the same schedule, so there is nothing to argue about.

Fair by default

Splits, rotations, and away time are worked out for you instead of by whoever remembers.

No more being the nag

The app sends the reminders, so you can stay friends and roommates.

Built for shared homes

Made for students and young adults living with two to ten people, from a two-person apartment to a full house.

You stay in control

It tracks who owes what, but you still pay each other your own way. Seda never touches your money.

Seda is in beta

That means it is real and usable, but still being polished. It works best when your whole household joins, and your feedback shapes what comes next.

Questions

Good things to ask

What is Seda?

A phone app for people who live together. It keeps your household's bills, chores, shared purchases, and decisions in one place, with a clear record of who owes what.

Does it cost anything?

No. Seda is free while it is in beta.

Does Seda move money or connect to my bank?

No. Seda keeps track of who owes whom, and you pay each other the way you already do, through Venmo, Cash App, Zelle, or cash. It never holds or sends your money.

Does my whole house need to use it?

It works best that way. Splitting bills and rotating chores only makes sense when everyone is in the same household, so it's easiest to join together. Each person signs up for themselves.

Who can see my information?

Your housemates can see what belongs to your household, like bills, chores, and shared items. Seda does not sell your data or run ads, and you can delete your account at any time from your profile.

What if someone is away or moves out?

Mark yourself as away and chores skip you until you're back. If someone leaves the household, they are removed from future splits and rotations.

What if we disagree about a payment?

Whoever receives a payment confirms it. If something looks wrong, they can dispute it, and the two of you get time to sort it out before the balance goes back to what it was.

Is it safe to use during beta?

Beta means there may be bugs, and some data could be reset. Keep your own copy of anything important, like a lease or rent agreement. Seda is meant to make tracking easier, not to replace your records.

Who can join?

Anyone 18 or older living with at least one roommate. Households can have up to 10 people.
